The control unit (St) has looping portions (7,7') which are arranged in active connection to respective cylinders (2,3) of an internal combustion engine (1). A fixing device is used to fix the looping portions between the crankshaft (4), input shaft (5) and exhaust camshaft (6) of the engine. The looping portions are used to control the drive operation of the crankshaft, input shaft and exhaust camshaft.
