Quaternary ammonium phosphate - compounds and processes for their preparation

PURPOSE: A quaternary ammonium phosphate compound is provided which is corrosion inhibitive on various metals including corrosive metals such as carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, tin plated steel sheet and aluminum by having strong corrosion proofing and sterilization properties, and a preparation process thereof is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The quaternary ammonium phosphate compound is represented as in the following formula 1a and has corrosion proofing and sterilization effects at the same time. In formula 1a, R1 is para-(α,α,γ,γ)-tetramethyl butyl phenoxy ethoxy ethyl group, and R2 and R3 are methyl group. The preparation process of the quaternary ammonium phosphate compound represented as in the following formula 1 comprises the step of reacting quaternary ammonium hydroxide represented as in the following formula 3 with orthophosphates in a solvent containing alcohol with carbon atoms of 1 to 4. In formula 3 and formula 1, R1, as a linear or branched alkyl(or aryl) radical with 1 to 27 carbon atoms without containing hydroxyl group, can contain hetero atoms, and R2 and R3, as a methyl group, are the same as each other, or combined each other to form a hetero ring compound with 4 to 6 carbon atoms comprising oxygen and nitrogen.
