EXTRACTS OF ASTROCARYUM VULGARE FRUIT AND PREPARATIONS OBTAINED WITH ANTI-INFLAMMATORY CHARACTER

The invention relates to fruit extracts of Astrocaryum vulgare, pulp and almond, characterized in that the said extracts have a therapeutic activity of anti-inflammatory character, evidenced by the carrageenin test, orally and intraperitoneally. These extracts consist of the unsaponifiable part of the oils extracted with a non-polar hydrocarbon solvent. The anti-inflammatory preparations obtained from these extracts are used in the dietary and cosmetic pharmaceutical field.
