PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely distinguishing an interspecies hybrid between Acacia auriculiformis A. Conn. ex Benth. and Acacia mangium Willd.;SOLUTION: The method for distinguishing an interspecies hybrid between Acacia auriculiformis A. Conn. ex Benth. and Acacia mangium Willd comprises examining presence of a specific base sequence or a base sequence having at least 80% homology to the specific base sequence specifically existing in either genome DNA of Acacia auriculiformis A.
