PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Panax notoginseng tea, as health food, comprising utilizing leaves, leaf stems, flowers and stalks of above-ground parts of Panax notoginseng which are usually and almost disposed without being used as crude drugs so as to make their pharmaceutical components effective and easily usable.;SOLUTION: The method for producing Panax notoginseng tea comprises the following process: subjecting above-ground parts of Panax notoginseng ordinarily unused as crude drugs to autoclave treatment at 105°C for 15-30 min; drying the above-ground parts while passing hot wind through the parts for 90°C for 90 min so as to increase the contents of ginsenoside Rb1, Rd and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) each comprising active ingredient; admixing 0.25-2 parts of single or double equivalent mixture of γ-polyglutamic acid, cyclodextrin and/or straight-chain oligosaccharide to one part of the Panax notoginseng tea pulvelized into 710-210 μm, preferably into 250-177 μm so as to inexpensively produce the Panax notoginseng tea packaged into tea packs as health food containing much ginsenoside Rb1, Rd and γ-aminobutyric acid having blood pressure elevation inhibiting effect and neurotransmission inhibiting effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
