PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head capable of obtaining a favorable optical system even after an objective lens has been moved, and to provide a method for evaluating an optical characteristic of the optical system of the optical head and a device used therefor.;SOLUTION: The optical head 10 is provided with a detecting mechanism for detecting deviation at least in one of the tracking and focusing directions of an actual irradiation position to a target irradiation position on a disk to be irradiated with light from the optical head, a moving mechanism for moving the objective lens at least in one of the tracking and focusing directions, and an attitude control mechanism for controlling the attitude of the objective lens 20, and the attitude control mechanism controls the attitude of the objective lens correspondingly to the relative position of the objective lens to the optical head.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
