PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein while the amplitude/phase of each element antenna is measured by changing the phase of a phase shifter corresponding to each element antenna in a conventional manner, such measurement can not be made in conventional methods, since an optical control type array antenna is not provided with a phase shifter.;SOLUTION: In the optically controlled array antenna, the frequency of one light wave from a light wave generating means distributed by a light wave distributer is deviated and modulated only by the frequency of a radio signal to be inputted by a frequency shifter, and the modulated light wave is transformed into a beam shape, corresponding to the shape of a predetermined antenna radiation pattern, then is subjected to Fourier transformation of amplitude distribution and phase distribution by a second transforming means.
