LASER TRUING AND DRESSING METHOD AND GRINDING WHEEL FOR LASER TRUING AND DRESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform truing and dressing of high quality by laser beams by improving a grinding wheel formed by mixing and baking abrasive grains and a binder.;SOLUTION: This kind of grinding wheel has "a microscope group with the binder 3 cross-linking among a large number of abrasive grains" shown in the lower half part of the figure. A filler is added to the binder, and particles of the filler are dispersed as described with spots in the upper half of the figure. A material selected as the filler (1) has no adverse effect on the material properties of the grinding wheel, (2) does not melt in baking in a grinding wheel manufacturing process, (3) vaporizes at the temperature lower than the fusing point of the binder when the temperature rises under the irradiation of laser beams, or burns to dissipate.
