PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tribology metal member having excellent resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, and to provide a lubricant capable of imparting excellent resistance to hydrogen embrittlement to a tribology metal member.;SOLUTION: In the tribology metal member used under a hydrogen-containing environment, at least one kind of film selected from a passive film and a phosphate film is formed at least on the surface.
