PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for generating an aroma closer to an aroma of a natural object. PSOLUTION: This aroma generating device has a perfume holding material 20 which can hold a liquid and/or powdery perfume in a state of impregnation, and a plurality of kinds of liquid and/or powdery perfumes are held in different parts of the holding material 20 in the state of impregnation. More specifically, a perfume A holding part 30a, a perfume B holding part 30b and the like are formed in the different parts of the holding material 20. Additionally, the aroma generating device is provided with a container 10 which has a container body 12 with an opening 11 and a lid 14, and the holding material 20 is housed in the container 10.
