PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assuming method and an assuming device for assuming the position and the attitude of a flying object during a period when a GPS receiver does not detect the position of the flying object, and to provide a virtual visibility generation system capable of switching display of an image of a virtual visibility at high speed.;SOLUTION: An airframe motion computer 6 assumes the position and the attitude of the flying object 2 in the case where the GPS receiver 4 does not detect the position of the flying object 2, based on an equation of motion of the flying object 2 set beforehand, a motion instruction acquired by an operation sensor 3 for acquiring a motion instruction accepted by a control part of the flying object 2 at prescribed time intervals, and the position of the flying object 2 detected in the past by the GPS receiver 4 and/or the position of the flying object 2 assumed in the past by the airframe motion computer 6. A virtual visibility image rendering device 7 operates a relative position and a relative attitude of the flying object 2 relative to a flying space based on the assumption result, and generates the virtual visibility image from the inside or the backside of the flying object 2.
