PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample molecule identification apparatus and a sample molecule identification method capable of further properly identifying sample molecules.;SOLUTION: A disc-like electrode substrate 41 having electric insulation is installed on the other end side of a drift chamber 21. A collection electrode 43 for collecting ionized sample molecules is formed on the electrode substrate 41. The collection electrode 43 includes: a first electrode part 43a positioned on the longitudinal center axis L side of the drift chamber 21; and a second electrode part 43b positioned on the circumferential side of the electrode part 43a. The electrode part 43a is electrically insulated from the electrode part 43b. The electrode part 43a and the electrode part 43b are individually electrically connected to electrode leads 44a and 44b, and electric signals from the respective electrode parts 43a and 43b are outputted through the corresponding electrode leads 44a and 44b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
