Oral hygiene inspection apparatus and intra-oral microbial number of measurement methods

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for testing oral cavity sanitary state with which the sanitary state of one's own oral cavity can easily and objectively checked even by an average user without special knowledge.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for testing oral cavity sanitary state is provided with a measurement cell 1 having an electrode for measurement inside and holding a sample including a sample collected from the oral cavity, a power source part for applying voltage for giving dielectrophoresis to the electrode, a measurement part 6 for calculating the number of microorganisms in a sample liquid and a control part 7 for controlling the power source part and the measurement part 6. The control part 7 applies voltage to the electrode to collect the microorganisms in the sample liquid onto the electrode by dielectrophoresis and the measurement part 6 measures impedance between electrodes after or during collecting to quantatively calculate the number of the microorganisms in the sample liquid to evaluate the sanitary state of the oral cavity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
