An apparatus for transporting and processing a series of articles, said apparatus comprising: - a transport loop comprising a series of carrier bars and a series of cavities formed between adjacent carrier bars, said articles being placed lateral, longitudinal and rotating in position within the cavities in a predetermined position so that a portion of said articles is exposed; and - at least a first processing station in a first position along the transport loop in which a first job is performed on the exposed portion of the articles while in a predetermined position within the cavities.
