PURPOSE: A method for preparing a silver colloid is provided, to allow a nano-sized silver colloid of high concentration with improved stability to be prepared massively with a low manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing a silver compound, water and an alcohol to prepare a mixture solution, heating the mixture solution to a certain temperature and maintaining the temperature; adding a dispersion system and a stabilizer to the solution to disperse silver colloid stably; adding a polyol-based compound to the solution and stirring the mixture to stabilize the reductive condition; and adding a reductant such as ascorbic acid to the obtained one and reduce silver ions to silver colloid completely and to obtain stable silver colloid. Preferably the temperature is 80-90 deg.C.
