PURPOSE: A friction loss reducing structure of a scroll compressor is provided to decrease input loss caused by friction between an upper frame and an orbiting scroll by supplying some of compressed gas to the lower side of the orbiting scroll and rotating the orbiting scroll on the upside of the upper frame with lifting the orbiting scroll at the constant height. CONSTITUTION: In a scroll compressor comprising an upper frame(2) installed in a closed container, a fixed scroll fastened at the upper frame, and an orbiting scroll(9) rotatively combined between the upper frame and the fixed scroll, a friction loss reducing structure for the scroll compressor has an orbiting scroll lifting gas supply hole(100) formed at the orbiting scroll to communicate with a compression pocket formed between the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll and a gap between the lower side of the orbiting scroll and the upside of the upper frame. The orbiting scroll lifting gas supply hole supplies some of the compressed gas contained in the compression chamber to the lower side of the orbiting scroll to lift and rotate the orbiting scroll.
