PURPOSE: A method for operating a mobile terminal in communication with a remote camera is provided to enhance the operability of a mobile terminal by obtaining video from a camera server and controlling a camera by communicating with the camera server. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(12) communicates with a camera server(11) through a network(13) and includes a display unit and a plurality of operation units. The mobile terminal(12) downloads a program for image obtaining and camera controlling from the camera server(11), allocates manipulation for image obtaining and camera controlling to each of the plurality of operation units based on the program, and executes a processing for image obtaining from the camera server(11) or camera controlling with respect to the camera server(11) according to manipulation of the plurality of operation units.
