摘要

PURPOSE: An organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve superior stability of resistance for retaining a resistor to be similar to the resistor before operation when the thermistor is returned to a stop state after operation. CONSTITUTION: An organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor(10) comprises a pair of electrodes(2,4) opposed each other; and a thermistor element(1) interposed between the electrodes. The thermistor element has a positive temperature coefficient of resistor, and is a molded element made of a mixture containing conductive particles having conductivity and a polymer matrix. The thermistor element has an amount of oxygen of 1.55 weight% or lower of the mass of the thermistor element. The amount of oxygen is calculated by subtracting the amount of oxygen originally existing in the components of the mixture from the amount of oxygen contained in the thermistor element.
