摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a repairing method for protecting staves of stave type blast furnace, the method for lowering heat load and increasing output of the blast furnace by separating staves from staves, removing existing sealing refractories in a space between staves, spraying refractories to the space and the front surface of the staves and closely adhering the staves to each other again. CONSTITUTION: The repairing method for protecting staves of stave type blast furnace comprises first step of separating staves from staves to form a space between the staves by supplying cooling water into main cooling water supply and drain pipes of staves, thereby thermal contracting the respective staves after stopping blowing of hoy blast into the stave type blast furnace; second step of removing sealing refractories by injecting high pressure air and sand into the space between the separated staves; third step of adhering refractories to the surface of the staves in a certain thickness by spraying water and refractories to the sealing refractory removed space between the staves and the front surface of the staves at the same time; and fourth step of removing the isolated space between the staves by supplying hot water into the main cooling water supply and drain pipes when the refractories are completely adhered to the surface of the staves, thereby thermal expanding the respective separated staves.
