PURPOSE: An auditory training apparatus and a sound processing method for an auditory training are provided to designate an effective frequency band for changing a recognition frequency and to break habit and anticipation of the native language, thereby largely enhancing the language learning effect. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises two(right and left) channel systems. A band attenuation processing member(20) attenuates a previous setting frequency band of the original sound or sound source(10). A switching member(30) selects the original sound or the output of the band attenuation processing member. A panpot processing member(40) superposes a sound signal formed by the attenuation of the original sound of a channel with the original sound of another channel. A phase inversion processing member(50) inverts the phase of the original sound. A control member(80) controls the apparatus entirely on the basis of the timing from an arbitrary time generating member(85).
