摘要

PURPOSE: An anion-free magnesium oxide is provided to increase a secondary electron emission coefficient and achieve improved durability of plasma display panel by forming a PDP protection film from an anion-free high purity magnesium oxide target. CONSTITUTION: A magnesium oxide where an anion impurity is removed to a level of 250ppm is used as a material for a plasma display panel protection film. The anion impurity is removed by using a metal cation which causes a selective sedimentation with a halogen element.
