LIGHT CROSS ARM MANUFACTURED WITH THERMOPLASTIC RESIN AND FLAME RETARDANT TO IMPROVE HEAT AGEING PROPERTY, WEATHERING RESISTANCE, HEAT RESISTANCE, ANTICORROSIVENESS AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLINESS

PURPOSE: A light cross arm manufactured by molding a thermoplastic resin and a flame retardant is provided to reduce the total weight through a simple, economic and environmentally friendly way so as to make its handling convenient, and to improve heat ageing property, weathering resistance, heat resistance and anticorrosion, as compared to conventional cross arms made of fiber reinforced plastics or an epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION: The light cross arm(10) is manufactured by blending 70% or more of a thermoplastic resin at least one selected from polypropylene(PP), polyamide(PA), polyphthalamide(PPA), polycarbonate(PC), polybutylene terephthalate(PBT), polyphenylene ether(PPE) and polyethylene(PE), and 30% or less of a flame retardant at least one selected from melamine cyanurate, magnesium hydroxide, red phosphorous and silicon; and molding the blend by any conventional method.
