PURPOSE: A composition for restoring hair or preventing depilation containing 1,2-dithiolthione derivative is provided, thereby activating dermal follicle cell to stimulate of growth of hair, so that it can be added in cosmetics and medicines for restoring hair or preventing depilation. CONSTITUTION: The composition for restoring hair or preventing depilation contains 0.0001 to 10 wt.% of 1,2-dithiolthione derivative, wherein the 1,2-dithiolthione derivative is at least one selected from 3H-1,2-dithiol-3-thione represented by formula (1), Oltipraz represented by formula (2) and Sulfarlem represented by formula (3), wherein the composition is dermatologic externally or orally applied.
