CONDUCTIVE POLYMER COMPOSITION CONTAINING FLUORINE-TREATED CARBON BLACK AND PTC DEVICE PREPARED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: Provided is a conductive polymer composition containing a fluorine-treated carbon black having a PTC(positive temperature coefficient) property for breaking an excessive electric current and a PTC device produced from the conductive polymer composition. CONSTITUTION: The conductive polymer composition contains 100pts.wt. of a polymer resin matrix and 20-50pts.wt. of a fluorine-treated carbon black powder as a conductive filler, wherein the resin matrix contains at least one crystalline polyolefin-based resin and the fluorine-treated carbon black powder is produced by surface-treating a carbon black powder by fluorine(F2) gas at an ordinary temperature under a pressure of 0.1-0.4MPa for 10-30min. And the PTC device is produced by melt welding electrolyte metal foils on both sides of a circular sheet formed from the conductive polymer composition and then attaching a couple of electrodes to the both sides by a conductive adhesive.
