PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module equipped with an optical system device using a cap for an optical system device with an optical isolator which is easily assembled and has simple compact structure.;SOLUTION: As regards the optical module, the optical system device used in the optical module is manufactured as follows; a stem 46 equipped with pin terminals 38 and the cap 51 for the optical system device are coupled and fixed so that a semiconductor laser chip 48 arranged on a heat sink 39 fixed on the stem 46 can be sealed in an airtight state inside the cap for the optical system device with the optical isolator obtained by assembling the optical isolator (constituted by arranging a coupling body constituted by coupling the plane side of a lens part 42 whose back side is the convex part of an aspherical surface with a polarizer 41 of what is obtained by coupling a Faraday rotator 43 between the polarizers 41 and 44 inside a cylindrical magnet 45) on the metallic cap 51.
