PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high sensitive and small size right angle spray ionization type mass spectrometer with no pollution.;SOLUTION: The high sensitive mass spectrometry is carried out with a low vacuum and small size ionization part by using a right angle spray system instead of the angular system. The right angle spray ionization method comprises, (1) setting a specimen spraying direction in right angle for specimen suction direction, (2) reducing a flow rate from 1,500 m/s to 300 m/s between a suction part and orifice part by reducing a diameter from 4.0 mm to 10.0 mm; and making the flow rate at the orifice part 100 m/s by making the diameter of the orifice 20 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
