METHOD AND INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF ANIONIC POLYMER IN WATER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely measure a concentration in a water system of an anionic polymer added into the water system as a chemical for water treatment, using a portable measuring instrument.;SOLUTION: In this method, one part of water in the objective water system added with the chemical for water treatment is sampled as a water specimen, a reagent is added to generate white turbidity by a reaction with the anionic polymer, and the concentration of the anionic polymer is measured using the portable measuring instrument capable of measuring turbidimetrically the generated white turbidity using a certain visible ray within a 400-900 nm.
