PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the concentration of an anionic polymer in water, with which it is possible to know the concentration of the anionic polymer easily.;SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of adding a cationic dye to test water that contains an anionic polymer, reacting the anionic polymer and the cationic dye and generating a complex, and generating a reaction liquid that contains the complex and an unreacted cationic dye; a membrane separation step of separating the reaction liquid by a membrane into a fraction that contains the complex and a filtrate that contains the unreacted cationic dye; and a concentration specification step of evaluating the filtrate about coloring by colorimetry and specifying a cationic dye concentration in the test water.
