PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifying apparatus which analyzes the volume fraction of a generated gas at a high speed, at a low noise and precisely, in which the precise calorific value of the gas is calculated based on an analyzed result and which precisely controls the calolific value of the generated gas based on the result.;SOLUTION: The gasifying apparatus is provided with a gasifier 1 which generates a gas for combustion by supplying a fuel and the air, a gas-calorific- value measuring device 42 which calculates the calorific value of the gas by analyzing the volume fraction of the gas and a control part 7 which controls the supply of the fuel and the air on the basis of its calculated result. The measuring device 42 is provided with a laser part in which a gas as a sample is irradiated with a laser beam, a spectral part which measures the intensity at each wavelength of scattered light generated from the gas irradiated with the laser beam and a calculation part which calculates the calorific value of the gas based on its measured result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
