PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution system provided with a time limit management function in the contents distribution system that uses a network to distribute contents. PSOLUTION: A contents distribution apparatus is provided with a user authentication function, contents retrieval function, contents information display function, contents selection function, contents distribution function and reproduction program distribution function. A reproduction program (player) is provided with a function for making a user terminal device eliminate contents when a deadline shown on a reproduction function of the contents and time limit information arrives. When a user accesses the contents distribution apparatus through the user terminal device to input contents that the user wants to view and a viewing-desired period, the reproduction program (player) that is set so as to eliminate the contents from the user terminal after the elapse of the viewing-desired period is transmitted as well as the contents.
