SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING AND ANALYZING TENNIS PLAYER PERFORMANCES AND TENDENCIES

A system for capturing (30) and analyzing (40) data from a tennis match converts the data into a representation of the player's performances and tendencies. The means for capturing the data can include a video camera (20, 22), structured to observe one or more tennis players (12, 14) on the court (10) during a match, or else the data can be captured and entered manually. Once analyzed/manipulated, the data can then be provided/output (45) in certain predetermined graphical, statistical, or descriptive formats which demonstrate the player's tendencies with respect to the locations that he or she hits the ball for different types of shots and the results in each location for each type of shot.
