METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CALORIFIC VALUE OF GAS AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING CALORIFIC VALUE OF GAS

A method for controlling a calorific value of a gas, which comprises subjecting a fuel gas to be supplied to a combustion apparatus (2) to the time difference mixing (defined in the specification) in a tank having a gas inlet (6) and a gas outlet (7) which are formed separately, to thereby suppress the variation in the calorific value of the above fuel gas, determining the variation in the calorific value of the fuel gas after the above suppression of the variation in the calorific value, and reducing or enhancing the calorific value of the gas downstream from the above tank (5) in such a manner that the the variation width of the calorific value determined above is within the range of variation being acceptable as a fuel gas for the combustion apparatus (2). The above method can be suitable employed for supplying a fuel gas exhibiting a wide range of the variation of its calorific value, after the conversion thereof to a fuel gas which is stably suppressed in the variation in the calorific value.
