This invention relates to a mixture for producing a bioactive bone cement, comprising PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) powder and CaO-SiO2 gel, and a method for producing a bioactive bone cement using the same. This invention provides a method for producing PMMA/CaO-SiO2 bone cement, comprising the step of adding MMA solution to a mixture containing CaO-SiO2 gel and PMMA powder and a PMMA/ CaO-SiO2 bone cement produced by the above method. PMMA/ CaO-SiO2 bone cement according to the present invention can be used as an adhesive which faxes metal, polymer, ceramics etc. to bones and, also can be used under the load because it can bind to bones firmly at a short time.
