The tool magazine has transporting elements with carrier devices (12) for the tools. These elements moved along a preset track curve with different radii of curvature. The angular velocity of the carrier device relative to the track curve is varied from minimum to maximum in at least two steps. The curved mature is such that the angular velocity of the carrier device remains more raw less constant.
