An injection moulding machine comprises a C-shaped frame which has a mould tensioning plate fixed to one shank, and a closure mechanism fixed to the other shank. The machine frame shank ends, which are not connected by beams, deform under the closure force. A bar with a linkage, runs between the tensioning plate and the frame, in the machine longitudinal direction. The beam (6) is supported on the tensioning plate (5) by two support surfaces (11,12) which are spaced apart and located above and below the tensioning plate plane. The support surfaces are located on a flange (9), and the latter is held in the vertical direction in the tensioning plate using a clamping member.
