STAIR REFORMING METHOD AND STAIR STRUCTURE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stair reforming method for reforming stairs without incurring degraded mounting strength of a cover member to each stair or increased production costs, and to provide a stair structure. PSOLUTION: According to the method, a riser facing member 15 is arranged on a front surface 12a of each riser 12, and a tread facing member 19 is arranged on an upper surface 11c of each tread 11. Then in order to prevent the cover member 20 for covering an upper end 15b of each riser facing member 15 and a nosing 11a of each tread 11, from interfering with each riser facing member 15, a support member 17 having a front edge 17a for supporting the cover member 20 is arranged on each tread 11 or each riser 12, such that the front edge 17a protrudes frontward from the nosing 11a.
