PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly execute highly accurate detection of deterioration while minimizing the degradation of emission during diagnosis as much as possible.;SOLUTION: A disturbance generating means is provided for outputting disturbance to a feedback control system when predetermined diagnosing conditions are established. In accordance with the output of the linear air-fuel ratio sensor, at least one of a waste time and a time constant of the linear air-fuel ratio sensor is computed as a determination parameter.
