PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a practical patterning material for artificial marble or a patterned resin material, by which the yield of colored artificial marble or the colored patterned resin material can be improved while carrying out a film pulverizing step and to provide the patterning material for artificial marble or the like, which is manufactured by the method for manufacturing the patterning material.;SOLUTION: Pulverized film chips obtained by pulverizing a resin film are colored by agitating/mixing a coloring agent with the pulverized film chips. A target particle size section and a small particle size section are defined as a particle size management section. The particle size of the pulverized film chips is managed so that the weight ratio of the pulverized film chips, which belong to the small particle size section and each of which has the particle size smaller than the minimum particle size of those belonging to the target particle size section, to those belonging to the target particle size section is kept within a predetermined value range to be decided by the target particle size. The viscosity of the coloring agent is adjusted so that a coagulation is not formed from small pulverized film chips belonging to the small particle size section by the coloring agent and then the coloring agent is agitated/mixed with the pulverized film chips.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
