PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing arithmetic circuit capable of processing an image at high speed by using a look-up table stored in a memory, and also reducing the number of signal terminals to perform access to the memory even in the case of the large bit width of output data from the look-up table.;SOLUTION: The circuit includes a pre-processing arithmetic circuit 21 for obtaining RGB image data; the memory 3 for dividing the look-up table for converting RGB image data into L*a*b* image data into a plurality of addresses so as to store them, having a data bus width which is smaller than the number of the bits in the L*a*b* image data; a LUT I/F 23a for generating the memory addresses for the storage of the look-up table from the RGB image data, performing access to the memory 3 a plurality of times, and acquiring L*a*b* image data; and a post-processing arithmetic circuit 22 for calculating a color difference E on the basis of Lab image data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
