PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently process multiple-precision data in data driven type processing.;SOLUTION: This data driven type processor is characterized by that single- precision data LD of a data packet PA1(IN) inputted to an arithmetic part during processing execution are multiplied by multiple-precision operands of a 1st operand register group 205 in single-precision units through a multiplier 209, the multiplication results while shifted by a shift computing element 201 are accumulated repeated by REG-RLT 206, and after the repetition, the accumulation result stored in REG-RLT 206 is put in the input data packet and outputted from the arithmetic part. The data driven type processor can, therefore, divide the operations between the multiple-precision data into multiple independent operation elements intended for single-precision data and can execute all operations as to the pieces of single-precision data obtained by the division simultaneously in parallel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
