PSA process for separating a gaseous mixture containing hydrogen (H2) and chosen from hydrocarbons (CnHm) impurities, wherein: a) the gas mixture to be purified in contact with a first adsorbent containing at least one silica gel is placed and with a second adsorbent containing at least an active carbon, so that adsorbed on adsorbents said at least one part of the impurities contained in the gas mixture to be treated, b) hydrogen is produced at a pressure (p,) production c) desorbing at least a portion of the impurities adsorbed in step (a), d) a flow of gas containing said impurities desorbed in step (c), said waste gas stream is produced being produced at a pressure (p,) regeneration between 2 and 10 bar absolute.
