The invention concerns fixing elements for snowboards or other gliding boards. The device comprises coupling, locking, adjusting, clamping means and is characterized in that the adjusting means consist of upper slides (8) secured to the coupling means of the shoe, lower slides (9) secured to the gliding board and in that the clamping means consist of parts (30', 30') sliding in the upper and lower slides and a clamping mechanism (7,32,30) compressing the upper slides on the lower slides. The coupling means may be of various types depending on the type of sport. Said device solves once and for all conventional problems of snowboard fixing elements by providing in combination solutions for: easy fitting and adjusting, maximum feedback by directly pressing the shoe on the snowboard, compatibility with the natural flexion of the board, greater power in the transmission of support contacts, as well as hitherto unknown possibilities of modifying the angle and position of the shoe without losing same even while gliding such as when surfboarding.
