[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A polymerizable spherical transition metal complex having a hollow shell structure, characterized in that the shell is composed of a transition metal atoms (wherein a is an integer of 6 to 60) and 2a bidentate organic ligands having substituents each having one or more polymerizable groups at the end and that the substituents are arrayed in the interior of the shell; a spherical transition metal complex as described above wherein the polymerizable groups are polymerized in the interior of the shell; and processes for the production of both.
