Male contact and process for contacting an electrical lead of an injection molded circuit substrate

The contact has a contact lug (28) for exertion of contact force in a contact section of an electrical line, where the section is bent in a direction of a plug-in contact receiver of a switching carrier. The lug is arranged at a broadside (26) of the contact that extends in a plugging direction (12), where the contact is a blade terminal. A projection (24) for protection of the contact in the receiver is provided at a narrow side (22) of the contact that extends in the plugging direction. An independent claim is also included for a method of electrically contacting an electrical line of an injection-molded switching carrier.
