An apparatus and a method of measuring the speed of an actuator for an active geometry controlled suspension system is provided to precisely determine a control speed of the actuator by measuring a start point and a termination point of the actuator. A speed measuring apparatus includes an actuator(20), a switch(30) turning on/off the actuator, a current waveform measuring unit(40) connected to the actuator for measuring a current value according to the driving of the actuator, and a displacement measuring unit(50) connected to the current waveform measuring unit. The displacement measuring unit outputs the drive displacement state of the actuator output from the current waveform measuring unit.
