A method for detecting SOC of a diesel engine using pressure of a combustion engine is provided to estimate the SOC(Start Of Combustion) more accurately and quickly. A method for detecting SOC of a diesel engine using pressure of a combustion engine includes the steps of: detecting a DP(Difference Pressure) value defined as the difference between the internal pressure of a combustion chamber and a motoring pressure; detecting the crank angle by which the detected DP value becomes a predetermined pressure; defining SOC as the difference between the detected crank angle and a detection delay angle and determining a CADD value; and calculating SOC.
