A waterproofing structure and a waterproofing method for a tunnel using an embossing sheet and a synthetic resin sheet are provided to increase watertightness and durability of the whole waterproofing structure by draining off various pollutants and underground water instantly without permeating to an embossing sheet. The waterproofing structure for a tunnel is formed by installing an embossing sheet(10) on a shotcrete surface, and attaching a transparent synthetic resin sheet(20) provided with a projection(22) having a thickness of 0.2~0.5mm and a plane portion(21) on the embossing sheet. Wherein the embossing sheet comprises a primary drainage portion(11) provided with many projections formed at a 0.5~2.0cm-intervals to be 50~90cm in width, a plane portion(12) formed to be 10~30cm in width on two sides of the primary drainage portion to fix a roundel, and a secondary drainage portion(11') and an end portion(13) formed on each outer side of the plane portion. The waterproofing method for a tunnel comprises the steps of: forming a shotcrete surface by excavating a tunnel and placing shotcrete; fixing an embossing sheet on the shotcrete surface by fixing a roundel(14), a washer(15) and a nail(16) along a plane portion and overlapping an end portion of the embossing sheet with the end of another embossing sheet and fixing with a washer and a nail; placing a transparent synthetic resin sheet having a projection on the plane portion of the embossing sheet and joining the projection of the sheet with the roundel, and joining the synthetic resin sheet with an adjacent synthetic resin sheet; and placing lining concrete on the synthetic resin sheet.
