The method involves detecting a contrast unit (3) by using exposure systems (5, 6) of an x-ray device (4) e.g. computer tomography device. An area (1) of an object (19) is scanned with the detected contrast unit by using exposure systems (7, 8) of the x-ray device. The x-rays generated by the exposure systems (5, 6) cover an area at an angle smaller than that of the x-rays generated by the exposure systems (7, 8). An independent claim is also included for a computer tomography device with exposure systems for examination of an object area.
