The tailgate has a tightening device inserted into an interior lining (3) of the tailgate, where the tightening device locks the tailgate in an external side from a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. A lock (10) locks the tailgate with a body of the vehicle, and a combined tightening-, releasing- and opening device (4) has gripping recesses (41, 42) for releasing and opening the tailgate from the compartment. The recesses are integrated in the tightening device, and are connected with a releasing part and an opening part of the lock.
