The method involves automatic switching of headlamp upper beam of a vehicle, in which headlamp beam can be automatically switched-on/off depending on the control signal. The control signal detects whether a curve is to be passed through and if a curve is passed through, the headlight beam remains in switched-off mode, independent of the control signal. An independent claim is also included for the device for automatic switching of a headlamp in vehicle.
